David Tapia

David Tapia, MBA, FACHE is currently a Managing Partner at Exegete Healthcare International LLC, is a full service consulting firm providing solutions for today’s healthcare providers across the nation. He is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) and is Board certified in Healthcare Management.

David has extensive experience in providing support services such as strategic planning, promotional marketing, process improvement and Information Technology (IT) services to current clients.  He currently conducts Electronic Medical Record (EMR) implementation and training initiatives for healthcare providers throughout the nation.   Mr. Tapia is active in his local healthcare community, serving on the following boards: South Texas Chapter of the American College of Healthcare Executives (STC-ACHE), San Antonio Healthcare Information Management Systems Society (SAHIMSS) and the Bexar County Medical Society Alliance (BCMSA).   David is one of the founding board members of the San Antonio HIMSS Chapter and was instrumental in the formation process.  His professional interests are Healthcare Information Technology (HIT), EMR training and implementation, healthcare marketing and medical tourism.   Mr. Tapia completed his undergraduate degree with a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas.  He earned a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Healthcare Management from Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio, Texas. His hobbies include spending time with family, reading, golf, mountain biking, traveling, coffee and Aggie football.
